Where the routes go
Regions
Our home coast, Poland's mountains and two places across the North Sea. Every region has its own guide, local or there for the whole season.
The Polish Baltic coast
Five hundred kilometres of sand run from the German border to the Bay of Gdańsk, almost all of it public beach backed by dunes and pine. The sea is shallow, cool and nearly tideless; in July the water reaches about 20 degrees.
The Tatras
Poland's only high mountains, granite and limestone peaks on the Slovak border, all inside a national park. Paths are well marked and busy in August, quiet in June and September.
The Scottish Highlands
North of the line from Glasgow to Stirling the land lifts into mountains, lochs and long glens with very few people in them. Castles are everywhere, from ruins to houses still lived in.
North Holland
Amsterdam's canals, the Zaan river and the shallow Markermeer make this one of the few places where boats are the obvious way to travel.
