Terms of travel

These terms form part of every package you book with Half Casual sp. z o.o., ul. Bursztynowa 6, 78-100 Kołobrzeg, Poland.

Booking

The form on this site starts a booking but does not complete it. Within 48 hours a manager phones you, checks availability and answers questions. If you go ahead, you receive a confirmation by email with the programme, the final price and the payment dates. The contract exists from that email.

Price and payment

Website prices are a guide per person sharing a room. The confirmed price is fixed except for changes the law allows, such as a rise in fuel costs or taxes, which we would notify at least 20 days before departure. A 25 per cent deposit is due within five days of confirmation and the rest 30 days before the trip, by bank transfer. We never take card details on this website.

If you cancel

Tell us in writing. The charge depends on how far ahead you cancel: 50 złoty per person up to 45 days before; 20 per cent between 44 and 22 days; 50 per cent between 21 and 8 days; 90 per cent within the last week. You may transfer your place to another person up to seven days before departure.

If we change or cancel

Routes need at least four guests, or six on the Scottish and Dutch trips. If too few have booked we tell you 20 days before departure and refund everything. Weather may swap a planned half for a free one or move a day; the length of the trip does not change.

Protection

Our trips are package travel under the Polish Act of 24 November 2017 on package travel and linked travel arrangements, which implements EU directive 2015/2302. We are entered in the register of tour organisers kept by the Marshal of the West Pomeranian Voivodeship, hold an insurance guarantee for refunds and repatriation, and pay contributions to the Tourist Guarantee Fund.

Your part

Bring a valid passport or ID card, and check visa and entry rules for the United Kingdom, which requires an electronic travel authorisation from most visitors. Tell us about anything that affects your fitness for the stated level.

Complaints

Tell the guide at once, so it can be fixed during the trip. Written complaints go to [email protected]; we answer within 14 days. You may also turn to your local consumer ombudsman or the EU online dispute resolution route.

Law

Polish law applies. Disputes go to the courts in Koszalin, unless the law gives you the right to sue where you live.
