Tatra valleys from a timber lodge
From the Baltic to Poland's only alpine range: six nights in a wooden lodge at Zakopane.
The Tatras are the highest part of the Carpathians, granite peaks above 2,400 metres on the border with Slovakia. The Polish side is a national park with marked trails and strict rules, and no wild camping.
You stay six nights in a lodge built in the Zakopane style, all larch and carved gables. Mornings are walks with a mountain guide; afternoons are free in town or at the lodge's fire.
