This Single Factor Defines All Platonic Male Friendships in 2017

Most guys have 2-3 guy friends that they have an especially close bond with. Your group of dude bros may be larger than that number, but when it comes down to it, you are really only close with a select few fellas. You put up with the others in a group setting because that is how life works. Some people are cool. Some people suck. If you’re cool, you’ll find other cool people. If you suck, then that sucks and you’ll find other sucky sucker people that suck ass. Regardless of if you are cool or if you suck, you have those select bros that you are tight AF with (for the record, I’m a really cool guy and plan on continuing to be cool).

But what defines how close you are with those close man friends? What signifies the true essence behind a bro-lationship? Is it that you guys text each other everyday? Is it that you always remember to call one another on each other’s birthday without the helping hand of your Facebook addiction? Is it that no matter how long you go without seeing each other, you can pick up right where you left off? Is it the fact that I keep asking questions and stalling? While all of those points may indicate the presence of an indestructible connection between two man boys, all of these reasons are all a little too general for me to accept. I want to find that specific, tangible thing that exists in all boy bonds.
